The lupine species of Aurelia are varied from one another in extreme ways, each more outlandish than the last. While it is not uncommon for a wolf to have many mutations, each species is defined by a few traits they share in common.
Tsumari
Hailing from the deep cave systems that used to be abundant on the Eastern Scar, the Tsumari are insectoid and darkly colored. When Firemaw Mountain erupted nearly three generations ago, the cave systems underneath the Eastern Scar that were home to many Tsumari collapsed, forcing them off the island during the worst of the seismic activity. They have become more prolific on the mainland, and some still have their subterranean tendencies. Tsumari tend to favor Occult and Mental magic.

One of the physically largest species, they have evolved for the harsh and demanding climate of their typical homes. A layer of fat that serves to keep them warm makes them look even larger, and their thick coats only further the notion that they are indeed goliaths. They typically have a sharp sense of smell that helps them track prey in snow storms. Vigran have a natural inclination to Elemental and Physical Magic.

Undead
The Undead are not a naturally occurring race, as the other races of Aurelia are. They were created long ago, perhaps by a deity long forgotten, or perhaps by wolfkind itself. All that is known about them is that they are held together by powerful, twisted magic, and their souls are bound to a stone that resides somewhere upon their bodies. If an undead wolf's stone is destroyed, the wolf's soul is freed and is sent to wherever souls go when wolves die.
Undead wolves are not like living wolves in many ways. Their age can determine how well their physical form looks, as well as how many battles they've fought. Their flesh and fur do not heal, since only the skeleton is essential to their form, and the skeleton is held together and moved by the strange magical energy that emanates from the soul stone. An undead with a particularly strong Illusion spell could make it seem as though they still had the flesh and fur of when they were young, but not all undead possess this ability. Some undead are so old that they are just skeletons now, walking and talking of their own accord.
Undead wolves belonged to one of the mortal races in their life, and what they were in life determines what starting traits they have in death. Undead wolves choose a race and receive those starting traits as well as the Undead trait. They must also choose a location for their soul stone somewhere on their bodies.
